Benevolent Fund
At each meeting members are encouraged to make small donations to the Benevolent Fund. At the close of the 2021-2022 year, almost $2,200 was contributed from Civic Club members and guests.
A $525 cash donation was made to Wimberley Gold Santa.
A total of $2,196 in cash was donated to the Hays-Caldwell Women's Center (HCWC).
In addition, we donated approximately $970 worth of undergarments and
$600 worth of towels, sheets and dishes for the new Transitional Housing Project.
Many of those served at the HCWC have had to leave their homes with no more than the clothes they are wearing.
DID YOU KNOW? Many times, a victim of physical or sexual assault must leave items of clothing,
including undergarments, with the law enforcement agency for investigation.
Our donations of bras, underwear and funding help make their circumstances less difficult.
If you can help with any of these needed items, we will see that they get to the right place.
